I just put the PHYTOMAX-2 in my grow room. It has been in there for only 1 month, although the stems of the fan leaves are purple again. I had bought good quality LED Grow lights about 6 or 7 years ago. I was in the need for another quality replacement spare. The original company I purchased from is nowhere to be found.
I had bought and realized the cheaper ones you get on Amazon for $50 to $120 are GARBAGE. They will grow your plants, but the quality will NOT be there. You will waste 3 or 4 months growing garbage when you are done. The spectrums they claim are NOT True. You can se the difference in escaping light from you Tent. The cheapo lights give off a white tint, where as the quality lights give off a “Purple” tint. One has actual Blue and Red LEDs, the others do not. I have learned you need good Blue Light to obtain health Fan leaves. You can tell the difference just by looking at a crop !
I can update my review in a couple months after harvest.
When I installed and used the cheaper ones, I noticed the fan leaves were not as big, not as dark green and much few fan leaves. The buds looked like they would be good, but there was not any odor, the Triclones few fewer and smaller.
I started another batch while still using one of the cheapo brands, as soon as I put the new Phytomax-2 in there, in 24 hrs there was a noticable change in the plant appearance.

I have been growing for 11 yrs in total. I started with Metal Halide Lamps, then changed to LED. There are so many LED Grow lights out there for sale. I found out, unfortunately by trial and error that most LED companies claim they offer a “Full Light Spectrum” in the product, but the fact is most are full of it. If you have any experience at all, you can tell by looking at the plants, that in fact they are lacking something, UV, IR or Blue, so on. I had bought a Growstar LED, the plants never Stunk, the Triclones were few and small, there were very few Fan leaves and most important, the quality was shit ! Even the largest Buds barely got you off. When I noticed all this I began to read the literature that “Only comes with the product”, it said there was 54 “Imitation LEDs”. Imitation LEDs ? What the hell is that, a bunch of colored lenses with one light source behind them? You do not see anything about “Imitation LEDs” in the write up on Amazon or anywhere else for that matter. You have to buy the piece of crap before you see the truth.
The fact is, you get what you pay for. You pay $65 to $120 for a LED Grow light, you will find out months later, after your crop is almost done, you have grow “Shit” weed. A total waste of time and money!
Using the Phytomax-2 200 Black Dog LED I have thr biggest, stinkiest, most beautiful Buds I have EVER had. On top of that, the BlackDog cut the Bloom time by 2 or 3 weeks. I judge the how ripe th buds are by the Triclones. When they start turning Amber, it is time to Harvest. Using the Phytomax my Buds were ripe 3 weeks earlier than what I was used to. BIG SOLID STINKY BUDS
I always wondered how people could grow such “Solid Full Stinky” Buds, now I know. They purchased a Quality Grow Light.
